I tried few times already this mission and I get level 129 at most. I'm babysitting every level and one shotting every mob and still can't get to level 150.

I'm wondering if I don't know something or just devs gave too little time?

Are you using your mouse to pick up the items as soon as they drop? If so, my biggest advice is make sure you have the game set to low quality mode. When it is high quality, the items you pick up do a little dance and then fly up to to the top before they count. When in low quality mode, as soon as you wave your mouse over it, it vanishes and counts to your total.

It's probably still too difficult for you. Read the section about "timed objectives" here:

If you still can't beat it, try again once you have significantly more idols/better gear/other crusaders in your formation

As thedude said, try setting quality to low. This is the only thing I can think of that could give you these problems, since I can assure you that I was able to do that objective the first time, and with a few minutes to spare (and many more players did that, it wasn't only me for sure). Maybe try changing your browser too, that sometimes helps.

- In settings, toggle chest drop animation and pausing on popups both to off and toggle progressing on area complete (g) to on. If a chest drops the normal animation won't be displayed and the chest drop won't slow down your progress.

Or to make it simple in answering your first question: No, the developers didn't give too little time. There would be a lot more complaints about the objective.

I know your frustration, i've same issue of not being able to do. fastest ive done after 8 attempts & +100k idol is 50 areas in 30minutes. there is about a 3 second blacked-out(loading?) screen between areas which eats up any time i make up with all the above mentioned tricks.

im at point where i either have to find a way to use another computer, have someone else do it for me, wait for a possible work-around by the game or quit game at point i need extra bench seats.

perhaps a 'mercy' rule...if after 10x attempt u don't beat it..it mercy completes...letting you still unlock other objectives, while not giving rewards of rubies. but i suspect its too few have this issue for them do a fix like that.

I did some of these fixes & was finally able to beat it with about 1 minute to spare.
Also used the 1 crusader at the front of formation, mouse pick up drops & arrow to progress.
