It's the time of year to forgo the usual comforts of your soft bed, sturdy walls, an internet connection and warmth for a thin piece of material between you and mother nature. That's right! It's the Summer, and that means camping season!

Recruit two female Crusaders! Ranger Rayna swaps with the Princess and Littlefoot swaps with Thalia.

You can read more on the blog.

The event will run until Monday August 1st at Noon PDT!

Nice event :)

Question though: Is Littlefoot's Parryfoot skill not supposed to aid against the Col-Bears' instakill-capability?

Glad you're enjoying it.

Parryfoot was just designed as a unique way to tank.

The Col-bears will just kill you dead if they touch you. They are the number 1 threat after all.

yeah, seems as if the best way to avoid the col-bears is to break out in panic and rush things and to involve the president. And I always thought, it was the other way around :-D Great idea for an objective (especially with his shows being extra-great this week)!

Ah, ok. I just thought her ability, while also an interesting tank-skill in itself of course, was also a very clever way to make her feel extra useful for the event (as you almost always tend to have restrictions in the event campaigns which hint at the unlocked Crusaders' usefulness)
I mean, after all, Alan's Blind and Rez skills work just fine to give you more time against the Col-bears.

Oh well :)

col bear obj is way way too long given that you have to babysit your chumps the entire time . they will die on collection stages if you are not actively picking up drops guaranteed .

single drop collections are particularily irritating since they require consecutive kills .

instant death the worst convention in games . nothing says 'we hate our players' like undefendable one shot kills .

If you have enough Idols that you don't need to run a full formation, you could game it by just running the back row of Crusaders.

The developers did try to have it so they wouldn't reach you until you were close to finishing the objective, but it is random and you could get unlucky.

The bears don't spawn on boss areas, so that the worst you would get pushed back to is the last boss area you beat.

I had no problem. Had my main DPS in third row from back and never wiped at all so far as i know. I kept checking back expecting that i'd've wiped, but never did.

I didn't have a problem either. My main DPSer was in the 2nd row from back. I hardly had to babysit the game at all. I just popped in to upgrade every once in a while. I did get wiped once or twice but it wasn't a big deal.

2.5 hours . with pres 40% drop . instakilling everything the whole time . 1Qd dps .

horribly boring and rather irritating .

And yet, you started it even though the description was pretty clear and you finished it instead of cancelling out. Yeah, it was a different approach, but I'ld rather have event objectives like these, than yet another run to lvl whatnot with one or more spots blocked/debuffed/buffed which I think isn't really entertaining.

2.5 hours seems like you didn't spend any speed buffs. I did it in closer to 90 minutes, spending less time actively on it than during the "get me out of here" objective.

And as a tip to newer players: running a full formation actually gives you a litte more time until the bear/bears wipe out your full formation. Sacrificing a few crusaders gives about a second per row which could be enough to proceed. And all the hints about "get me out of here" help here, too. Collect with your mouse, don't wait for auto-progress to kick in, but click the next level on the map as soon as it appears.

i used 20 speed buffs .
they dont make that big a difference travelwise when you are already instakilling everything . mostly helpful for the single drop stages to get the drop before bears eat your formation .

i finished it because i didnt want to piss away the 1300 tix needed to enter the mire .

between a pheromones buff and Act of Congress, they never reached me, despite not picking up drops with my mouse.

save up 2-5 pheremones missions completed and open those at the start of this. I got to 200 before they ran out and never died
