How does robosanta stack up?

VernomanI'm trying to figure out how robosanta's gold bonus stacks up.
He has 3 crusaders in front of him. His "Expensive toys" ability says 43.75% more gold for each crusader in front of him. That's 131.25%. I have a card that increases the ability by 75%. That should be an additional 32.8% more gold for each crusader in front of him, or a total of 76.6% per crusader, for a grand total of 229.8%. He also has a card that increases all gold found by 10%. That should be a total of 239.8%. The Panda, on the other hand, has a total of 125% gold bonus. I have a card that increases that by 25% for a total of 150%. So, then, why does the Gold Bonus number increase more when I place the panda than when I place robosanta? When I place robosanta, the gold bonus is 8.09M%. When I place Panda, it is 9.07M%. Can someone please explain? Thanks! |

thedudeThe base line of his Expensive Toys ability is 25%. Increasing that 25% by 75% of itself gets you 43.75%. Now, you have to multiply, not add. 1.4375*1.4375*1.4375*1.1=3.2675.... or a 226.75% increase
Panda would be 1.25*1.25*1.25*1.5*1.25=3.6621... or a 266.21% increase |

AmoonFor starters, that 75% increase is already factored into the ability's description.

VernomanAh. Got it. I knew if I posted here, someone smarter than me would figure it out.
So, once again, another crusader is proved pointless unless we get another formation with 4 crusaders in a row that we can put robosanta behind. |

AmoonIts all circumstantial. I have Santa with both gold boosting epics, so he's more effective on a 3 crusader line than Panda is, for example.
Event crusaders don't necessarily have to be overwhemlingly superior to regular ones anyway. |

thedudeAgree with Amoon. My Panda has all three epic items, and I have two rares (including all gold +50%) and a golden epic (expensive toys +150%) on RoboSanta. This means that Panda is a 485.93% increase vs 543.65% increase for Santa when three people are in front of him.
Also, while they both have a global DPS item, and a crit click chance ability, Santa has a crit click multiplier ability that Panda does not have. So, if you are doing a click run, i.e. to power through the end of an objective, you might be willing to sacrifice a small percentage of your gold for a stronger click average, and swap in Santa. |
