Time Warps grant much less gold than they should

I am playing the game on facebook.

Since some time (a month or two? I didn't play frequently, and didn't mind until now), warps are giving waaay too less gold upon use.

The 8 hours epic warp grants only an amount of gold which I normally get in less than one minute. The 30 minute warp is not even worth one creep kill.

Am I missing something?
I believe this to be a bug.

And if not a bug, it's a feature that it would be nice to see changed.

My Delorean says it will generally get me about what i've collected in the last minute (according to the stat-display)
Time Turners get only one order of magnitude more, and Quantum Leaps only one order of magnitude higher than that - despite the fact that idling on the current area would match these numbers in 10 minutes and less than two hours respectively.

I know there are posters here who are great with maths and will no doubt correct me. Regardless, it seems the Warps are doing much less that it seems they should.

the time warps give gold based on a formula that is mostly based on static DPS. Exactly the same as one gets if they close out the game and let it run on their servers.
when you are actually playing your gold per minute is based on all kinds of dynamic dps effects of people like turkey and so on who are pretty much not active if you close out the game.
if you were to swap out all funky crusaders and use a warp you would see that.
p.s. remove all crusaders and use a warp too just to see, LOL

p.s. at areas higher then 500 you should know that the boss's and monsters are more powerful, take more to kill...
not quite exponential, but ramps up a lot more then way at the beginning where one leveling of someone by 25 can take you 20-30 levels, here that is 2-3 levels, i.e. not even past one boss stage, it takes a couple levelings of 25 to go from one boss level to the next.
but i could be wrong

If you are right, Raymond, then it has not always been handled this way.
I still remember the good old days (2 months ago and prior, lol), when I could accumulate lots of enemies in front of Jack O Lantern with using some buffs, and then spend 30m warps being worth 4 hours each.
They obviously changed it (may it be your version or not) and such a change was probably partly intentional, but the current state really makes no sense at all.

Beside that, I already noticed the laughable amount of gold that you get, when shutting down the game, and it may match the warp amount.

Am I right that crusaders with temporary buffs or those depending on creep numbers (like Chicken, Jack, Mercy) should always be replaced with other crusaders before shutting down the game, to maximize afk profits?

Thank you for the report.

It is on the developer's to-do list to look into the gold drops from Time Warps.

When you notice it start happening, what area are you on? Has your DPS recently increased dramatically?

I think, the warp gold ratio is always that bad, including lower areas. I can answer your question more precisely, when I reset the next time. That could take quite a while though (possibly 2 weeks), because I am currently trying to reach area 600.

Edit: At the moment, a 30 minute time warp is worth ~25 monster kills (area 531 and didn't buy levels for quite some time). I guess, it equals 1 minute of playing. The current ratio is better than I described in my initial post, which was made during the mini event. But it is still a very bad ratio ;)

I had an eye on the problem today, and you are right. The gold ratio of warps isn't that bad on lower areas (at least up to 150). In fact, it seems to fit very well a 30 minute playing time. Did something change since the latest patch, regarding this topic?

no, nothing changes.
well, yes, something changed.
you got to higher areas, and higher areas are exponentially harder to do.
doesn't matter if it's 30 minutes of a warp or 30 minutes real time they are the same, that can have very little effect at higher areas. and dps has less effect too, more important is critical clicks

I wouldn't say for sure it is a bug but I do notice that warps do not take into account your gb - only base gold for the level as far as I can tell - this is likely intentional but it kind of makes the warps not worth it for me - without my gb 8 hours of gold is almost nothing

@Raymond: Being on a higher area should not change the amount of time that a 30m warp is worth. When the warp is named "30m warp", then it should always be worth 30m of playing under current circumstances, shouldn't it? The exponential growth of difficulty would only mean that you have to wait longer for enough gold to come in and to buy the next 25 levels on your main dps (therefore you have to use more warps). It does not explain that a 30m warp on area 530 is only worth 1-2 creep kills, which can be achieved in a few seconds.

@Lisa: Are you sure about the gold bonus not being taken in?
That would be an explanation, but I really can't imagine that a developer would design something like that :P

I can't be positive of course because I've never asked and I don't know the details of what they coded

but I'm almost positive it only rewards based on base gold for the levels without factoring in GB - like chests do

you on the other hand say that a 30 minute warp at level 531 'i guess is equal to about 1 minute' you are not speaking anything real at all. If you want then sit at one area, do not progress, sit there for 30 minutes and see the gold obtained, then still sit there, not advancing, and use one 30 minute warp and see the gold earned. p.s. do not spend any of that gold on any crusaders during those 30 minutes cause spent gold increases your gold earned cause spent gold increases your dps and gold obtained is based on dps.
'seems like' is real scientific.

As said, a 30m warp on level 530 grants an amount of gold which I normally get out of a few creeps, i.e. it is only worth some seconds. Why should I wait for 30 min on a level, when a few seconds waiting are already equaling the warp?
