I was running this challenge and had to break it off on level 72 to use my accumulated nearly 30 k event items. After around 10 days running (further enhanced by countless time warps) a fully buffed ( power, accuracy, siphon, splash....) Hermit based formation did not make a dent on level 73, even supported by the bushwacker and an overclocked mouse!

I think that this challenge went over the top! The main problem is that while the difficulty ramps up very fast, the gold drop of the enemies stays normal, so even opening a lot of saved chests (for additional gold )does not help becouse the effect is based on the enemy/stage lvl and on lvl 1-100 this is next to nothing!

I have >12k idols, 300 % from rings ...., so I thought to be prepared pretty good. I wasted a lot of buffs, as i had to quit to at least get some of the event stuff done.

opinions? someone who finished it?

People on the Kongregate forums have stated that they've found it somewhat challenging at 20k idols. You're probably looking at like twice your current idols if you want to make it easy-ish.

I had a little over 23000 idols, 560% from rings, and Sarah (my DPSer) has 260 EP, and it took me a bit over two and a half days to do it. All of the newest objectives were designed for very high level players.

260 EP = 1300 h= 54 days!!!!!!

really? (- your 2,5 days that would mean you used 155 Epic time warps (or equivalents)

that merely confirms my statement i think ....

unless you ment Enchantement Points (and then my hermit is in a similiar ballpark)

still if the "recommended" idols are 5k that is VERY missleading ......

should be 15k the very least then

EPs = enchantment points. Experience points are XPs.

And yes, the new objectives are quite challenging. I have 45k idols, and it took me a few buffs/warps to finish them in a timely fashion.

As a general rule, I am against extremely long runs. If it takes more than 12 hours to do an objective, simply ignore it and retry when you have a lot more idols. It's much more effective.

BTW, always ignore the "recommended idols" part. If you want to see if you can do an objective, just try it out, if you are less then 75% through and you stop instakilling stuff (without any chest or warp usage) just give up and try when you are stronger.

It was incredibly hard at 30k idols and poor gear luck. If your gear luck is better than mine, you might be able to do it more easily with fewer idols, but the last few floors were an extremely harsh climb for me. I'd rate it considerably harder than Cursed Treasure which was harder than Lion King. I haven't tried Holiday because I'm missing several Event Crusaders and have had such poor loot luck with the ones I do have that half of them are useless.

Yes, Slow Descent seems the hardest of the 4 new objectives. I strongly suggest to delay an attempt until at least 30k idols (and even then, with some chests/warps/buffs to spare, and a clicking formation for the last floors as well).
