GothirLast Edited February 5th 2016 at 12:48 PM The drop rate of epic equipment from jeweled chests really needs to be increased and the worthless epic trinkets need to be taken out of the jeweled chests. Everytime I think of actually giving money to get some chests i decide against it because of the horrible drop rate. The chances of getting anything good from the chests is just so laughably low that it's pointless to buy more than the bare minimum needed to get the "free" golden epics.
I have received 25 epics from the 100 jeweled chests I have opened and 20 out of that 25 is worthless trinkets. And only 2 of the remaining 5 epics are even on useful heroes. So basically a 2% chance to get anything useful and the chance just keeps getting lower the more epics you have because you will start getting duplicates. So why would I spend $50 on 40 chests when the odds are that I will only get 1 or 2 pieces of epic equipment that would probably be on worthless heroes? Something really needs to be changed with the way these chests work if you expect people to actually buy them. It would be much better if you just put in a way for us to choose a piece of equipment to upgrade. I mean I would be a LOT more likely to spend money if I could choose what piece of equipment I want to upgrade for say $5 or so. Until this is addressed I won't be spending any money to buy jeweled chests...just the bare minimum to get the golden epics if I think the golden epic is actually useful. |

TeschioThe epic drop rate can't be much higher that what it is now, or people will just max out all important items on their key crusaders, resulting in stagnation. And stagnation is the death of any game.

GothirStagnation is definitely something to worry about. But how about the stagnation you get from never getting any items to advance? I have completed most of the objectives and opened all the chests that I got from those without getting any worthwhile upgrades.
The lack of any item progression is extremely disheartening and makes it pointless to actually spend any money on the game. I would think they would want people actually spending money on the game but with the system that's in place now it is completely worthless for someone to actually give them money. |

SupervisedI am 150 days old in this game, completed every objective and have opened 250+ Jeweled chests and I don't even have half of the epics.
It's a bit annoying when you start to get duplicate epics at some point. It would be nice to disallow duplicate epics when opening a jeweled chest. |

Captain1998How many chest do you open at a time? I find that I had better success with 5 jeweled at a time and 25 silver at a time i have 47 epics right now :) of course I have spent alot too :) and not from ruby chest :)

TeschioLast Edited February 5th 2016 at 7:11 PM @Gothir: you do advance, even without epics. You still get idols, with which you can buy talents. Epics, or items in general, are nice, but not strictly necessary to enjoy the game.
@Supervised: "I am 150 days old in this game, completed every objective and have opened 250+ Jeweled chests and I don't even have half of the epics". Good. Neither do I. I don't know about you, but I am in for the long run. I don't expect I will get all epics, not even in a couple of years. The game is enjoyable even without them, and not maxing out so easily gives something to look forward to. Yes, getting duplicate epics is unlucky (it happened a few times to me), but the alternative (more epics and no duplicates) carries the serious risk of stagnation. @Captain1998: as far as I know, the drop rate is random. I had a month and a half without a single epic, then dropped 3 in 4 chests. Opening chests 5 in a row doesn't give you better chances at epic drops, it may seem so to you due to the randomness of the process, but in reality it changes nothing. I open jeweled chests as soon as I get them (but I hoard silver ones for future objectives, for which I may need the gold) |

SupervisedI am glad you find the game enjoyable without the epics.
But I am starting to feel a bit of stagnation right now as I have no object to finish and no progress in collecting epic items which also means no changes in my formation. Just repeating the same map over and over until I get bored. Also getting duplicate epics isn't just a matter of luck, as you get more and more epics, the chance of getting duplicates gets higher and higher. |

trylobitWell, becouse of rarity of epics they are more enjoyable when gained IMHO. Disenchanting epics is verry painfull, specilly when epics are so powerfull this days. Would be great idea to not DE duplicated epics but powerups somehow the epic item that You have already. That could be buff for main item, or lets say 3 duplicates changes epic to legendary item.

Teschio@ Supervised: I too have finished all objectives (the devs said that a new campaign with harder objectives will be released soon), but thanks to the addition of new event crusaders every month, my formation changes quite frequently. Even my main DPSer has changed many times since I started playing (5 times in total). I know the more epics you have the higher the chance of duplicates, but with no duplicates you will get all epics in a year or so... then what?
