A month ago or so, after turkey/mama was released, I tested WW damage vs Hermit damage on Grimm using a simple formation. WW or Hermit was in front, with turkey and lion behind them. Everyone else behind that was buffing them (ensuring that pete buff was on them etc). Because of pete this was the optimal formation for both hermit and WW (since including Sasha would mean no pete buff for WW).

At that time (right after t-day event), my hermit and WW had within 1 EP of each other, and the same EQ (except WW had 5% more dps all).

I tested them both and WW came out ahead about 30% dps with same gold invested (50 more levels on WW then hermit). I tested this multiple times because I was currently at that point using hermit as my main dps. Turkey allowed the use of bushwacker with WW, and Mama gave Kouri's boost (more of one actually) to WW just as easily/well as hermit.

I then switched from using Hermit as my main dps to WW, and have since then.

Today, I decided to do another test. I ran the same exact test as before, with exactly the same crusaders except Santa in place of Panda (slightly more gold find that way). This time Hermit was always ahead in dps, by about 25% or so vs WW. In addition, My WW has 17 more EP then my hermit at this point, and still has the 5% higher dps all.

That is a change of almost 50% dps between the two (about 30% more for WW before, and 25% more for hermit now). That is fairly significant.

Perhaps a forumla was changed, or perhaps it is a bug of some kind. It may have even been a bug before that was fixed. I'm not sure what is causing it, but i'm sure of my results back then (Because I changed my standard formation because of it), and i'm sure of the results now.

Anyone else noticed anything like this or have any information they can share? Codename, I know you say formula etc will change, but...do we get notices when that happens?

Ok, the test I performed both times was as follows.

On Grimm formation I set it up with the exact same setup, same boosts etc, for werewolf and hermit. In both setups WW or Hermit was in the very front (The single spot), with Turkey and lion behind them. All the other buffers where the same behind them. Both where boosted by pete anb Mamma.

Werewolf was always 50 levels higher then Hermit for the test. The test was done over multiple level ranges all the way from around 300 and 350, to 2250 and 2300.

Around the end of November (right after turkey was released), I did this test the first time. The results where amazing to me, as with Turkey and Mamma boosting werewolf (and lion right there), I found that werewolf was out performing hermit consistently up the levels. I was not the only one. Many people switched from hermit to werewolf at that point.

Back then, my hermit and werewolf differed by 1 point of EP, and my werewolf had rare dps all item (15%) vs my hermits 10% all dps item. That was the only difference between them. At the various test levels all the way up WW was performing about 30% better then hermit for that test. I had been using hermit up to that point, but I then switched to using werewolf as my main because of the test.

Fast forward to today. I decided to do another test as someone had mentioned hermit out performing WW. I figured perhaps he did at lower levels and wanted to find out at what point WW pulled ahead (Since I never really pay attention to lower levels anymore).

I did the exact same test I did almost a month ago. Same formation for grimms with only a tiny difference. I used Santa instead of Panda. Everything else was the same except that my werewolf now has 17 more EP then my hermit.

This time the results varied as I went up, but over all I ended up with something around 25% more damage from hermit then werewolf. That is about a 55% difference in comparison (went from 30% less to 25% more). This was again tested all the way up the levels and hermit consistently did more then werewolf from the early 300's to 2300 or so.

I can not show the numbers from a month ago, because I didn't save them. I can only offer as proof the fact that the numbers where clear enough that I changed which champion I used as main dps, right away, and didn't look back or feel the need to test it in different formations etc. WW was so superior at that point that it seemed obvious to use him.

Thats pretty much all I have, if anyone has more observations etc that would be great. IF codename could cofirm a change that would be great. If forumla are being changed without being in the changelog, it would be nice to know that, just so we can test every so often and plan accordingly. All I know is there was a drastic change between my two tests.
