Alright, this is really beginning to annoy me, to the point that I'm wondering if there's some sort of programming glitch at fault.

I just opened my first two jeweled Christmas chests, which guarantee two pieces of equipment each for either Frosty or Santa. Each of them has three different equipment slots. The odds of pulling equipment from the same slot four times in a row should be (1/6)^4 = 1/1296, or less than 0.1%.

I got three Retrofitted Buster Cannons (rare team DPS boost for Santa), and the fourth was the Uncommon version of the same gear.

I'd chalk that up to bad luck, except that in the Thanksgiving event, I pulled at least four jeweled chests and at least four standard chests, and the exact same thing happened with Robo-Turkey's circuit-board equipment. When the event ended, he had 5 enchantment points and two empty equipment slots (and Momma Kaine had 13 enchantment points, mostly from pulling two epic potions in a row).

At the VERY least you should make certain that a jeweled chest cannot give you gear for the same equipment slot twice in a row. Or possibly offer a chance to pick up more chests for special events after the event is over. As it stands, I'm on the verge of beginning to ignore them entirely, because it's throwing a lot of effort down a hole into new crusaders whose lack of gear makes them of very limited utility.

Update: In my first three Pool Party jeweled chests, my equipment drops were eerily identical. I got a Brilliant Golden Crown (rare team DPS boost for Siri) along with the uncommon version of the same gear. Then I got a Brilliant Golden Crown along with a Hotshot's Aviators. Then I got a Brilliant Golden Crown and a Dusty Pillow.

After a bunch of farming I did manage to fill both of the Christmas crusaders' equipment slots, but this is still frustrating, and the fact that it has happened three times in a row is starting to place the odds beyond coincidence. Are some classes of gear rarer than others? There's no indication in the game that that's the case.
