Now that the valentines event is over I felt like voicing my opinions on what I like and think needs updating about the game. Some of these ideas have been mentioned by other before and I liked the idea of them. First off let me just say that I think this is a great game and am excited about the new jungle update that I hope is coming soon.

First off I will address the valentines event and my thoughts on the difficulty. I have mixed feelings about the event. Personally I enjoyed the difficulty of the missions because it presented a challenge to the high level players. However, I am aware that the missions were very hard for new level 30's and weaker players. I would recommend altering the difficulty for the solo missions based on the players maximum Battle rating registered within the last week. this should help to balance the missions a bit better. With respect to the Heroic multiplayer mission I don't think it needs changes. Making it hard adds the need for tactics to the game and makes it more interesting to play, besides it wouldn't be an achievement if everyone could easily pass it!

Next I shall discuss aspects of the game that can be unclear and improvements to systems already in place.

The Shard Quarry: This area of the game could use more explanation for new players. It was hard to figure out how to combine, take and upgrade gems. I also feel that the quarry needs something added to it, it can be quite dull to use the quarry each day and I often find myself just digging vertically down with no detours to shard spots to get through it quicker. An extra incentive to use the quarry would be nice, maybe add a very rare chance of finding shardium in the 5000 gold spots. If there are any other suggestions please comment below i'm curious!

Brotherhood: This has been mentioned many times before in ingame chat, the frequency of lumber/companion XP missions could be increased. This is because there is no other use for them once you have the brotherhood/endgame. The brotherhood epic gear needs a rework, as it stands there is no reason to purchase it over the cheaper HoT gear. I like the permanent skill boosts and would like to see more options for leveling up.

The skill book: This is the major area where I would like to see changes, as it stands it is very one dimensional. I would like to see it arranged more as a tree structure, this would allow for more tactics to be used when skilling and would create a greater difference between players. Consider adding other passives to this tree structure (i.e. gold bonuses, speed, loot drop percent, chance of rarer drops increased). adding these other leveling up options will also vary the power from character to character, some will be more for looting and others for damage. The extra passives in a tree arrangement will affect the route players take.

Multiplayer missions: I would love to see heroic modes added to the multiplayer modes for added challenge.

Next I shall discuss extra additions that it would be nice to see in future updates.
- One of the main issues in the game is the lack of uses for lumber and companion XP in the lategame. Adding some kind of market where you can exchange them for items or gold would be a nice addition.
- It was mentioned by the developers before the event but new items to buy in the HoT store would be great.
- I am in two minds about an item exchange between players, in some ways it would be nice to get rid of the unneeded gems or gear that players don't want but would be useful to your friends. On the other hand it would make it easy to boost new players to a high level without them needing to make the effort to grind as other players have done.
- I would like guilds to have more uses. I believe that guild quests and battles have been mentioned before. I would like to see a lot of things from guilds, like guild epic gear, uses for lumber and companion XP if it is donated, crafting options (potentially add extra loot drop options on guild quests that can be used to craft items in the guild).

Thats all from me! Again this is a great game and I can't wait to see where it is going! If anyone has and contradictions or other additions comment below!

Also, perfect legendary gear. extremely rare, but with perfect stats, with the chance of reforging them, but always with the perfect stat rate. this gear would be extremely rare but could be like heirloom items in WoW, that incrase its base stats accordingly to your level so you only need to enchant and reforge the ones you dont like. also draw it in order to actually look legendary and awesome :3 and with a slight aura once we get it all (even if it would take eons) and balance wizards damn it, im sick of being the weakest class

Owww, love these ideas/comments...

The Shard Quarry could be made more fun, like into a game of it's own.... there are a lot of good 'digging' games on kongregate... I'd like to see it take shape to be like one of those.

Skill Book.... awesome suggestions.

Guild Epic items... great idea... but... forget about epic items, they can be found elsewhere... Some kind of 'create your own design' clothes!... with no shardium, only basic designs would be available... but pay some shardium to unlock extras... Also, anyone in the guild should be able to contribute shardium towards the 'premium' upgrades. Also include upgrades to give them stat point increases like other clothes... this way, guild members could run around in the guild uniform :D - and enough design features for them to be unique.

Guild Quests... yes please :)

Nice ideas Eleanor and Andaho,

could also maybe add minigames to fishing and blacksmithing. so when upgrading it becomes a skill challenge rather than luck based, the minigame could just get harder at higher levels.

oww.... in addition to guild members being able to contribute shardium towards guild upgrades.... make it so it needs X number of players to contribute it also.... to make it more of a community project... rather than a "one rich player donates it all" project.

Yes it's actually PAY features I'm suggesting... no, it's not Pay to win... just pay to make cool custom guild uniform!!!

Good point. I forgot one of my main points. The arena system, first off the rewards aren't enough of an incentive for most players to want to battle stronger players preferring to beat weaker people for quicker wins. some extra bonuses could be given depending on your rank, i.e. extra stat bonuses for a higher ranking or daily gem rewards etc...
On top of this it is too easy to achieve a higher rank in the arena. being able to leapfrog players means that it becomes easy to get ahead of stronger players by just ignoring them. The rankings could be based on accumulating points. Beating weaker players gives less points than defeating stronger players. This with better rewards would help to make the arena something that players want to compete in rather than a chore needed for the daily rewards.

Ok, we have had a few discussions on development within in guild so feel its fitting to share forward.

on the topic of Excess lumber/companion xp

Several ideas and ways have come up including:
A persistant paragon donation quest with an accumulated daily max rather than a low chance of the task appearing the quest will always be present and give 1pt/10k donated to a maximum of 10pts per day

Guild buildings
Something fun such as a guild lounge where you could rest up and recharge stamina, similar to fishing except upgrading the building requires wood and the higher it is the faster stamina charges to a max limit of 20/day ofc.
A statue, upgrading gives immediate passive stats on a % base so lvl1 1%hp lvl2 2%hp +2% speed etc with bonus skill points every 5th level. The quantity of cumulative wood required for upgrades would be in the millions lvl1=1million lvl2=2million or more.
Companion training ground. Donate companion xp to this guild building to upgrade. then Spend time each day to train companions, at level 1, spending 1 hour per day maximum gives your chosen companion(1 at a time) 1% stat boost to a random stat. Level 2 1% to 2 stats, level3,4 and 5 1% to 5. After level5 it goes up 2% 3% 4% 5%.

An NPC market to sell in exchange for gold at a daily random rate between 1:1 and 10:1. wood/xp:gold

On the topic of VIP
I appreciate very much the fine balance kept here between free2play and p2w but the way i see it right now there is very little benefit. VIP was nice at the start but pretty useless now losing you customers.

So for VIP:
Give a daily stipend upto the value of $10 worth over the course of the month in character shardium.
Give 3 saved formations of skillpoints. (respeccing is probably the only benefit, giving us saved spreads to quick change would be of huge value)
Give 1 or 2 free paragon refreshes
and finally a 50% reduction in fishing time.

Other developments i would like to see:
Completing companion missions on heroic evolves their gear from green to blue

Heroic multiplayer missions that drop some of the more rare items, heroic forest for gems and runes, heroic desert for reforge crystals and socket rods.

Monthly tournaments with live PvP (sorry but your arena AI is more stupid than a dead duck, so yes an overhaul on the AI too)

Something for guilds to fight over, its an MMO, we need competition, dont know how or what but there are 100s of ideas out there for this.

A feat of strength:
Similar to HoT but you start off on mission 1 (investigate the farmhouse) and progress continually through the entire story, no respecs, no hp refilling, if your companion dies, they stay dead until you die or defeat toshie. Rewards could then either be tokens/paragon points or something completely new, maybe the legendary gear Eleanor mentioned.

Well, thats my brain emptied for now, plus i have finished fishing :)

I like MrPT's ideas. in adition to making the game more competitive, you should release all of those when major content is released, so players that just got to lvl 30 get the chance of doing it at the same time as the long term lvl 30 players. maybe make it only max levels, maybe not, but its what i think. i would suggest maybe increase max stamina up to 500, for players that mostly play on the weekends, can play the same amount of time than players that play all day/everyday. and cumulative mps up to 25 would be nice to
