NimblecraftOoh boy, so far we have 3 quests that require us to complete a puzzle for this hub's dailies.
- Fetching Oars - Crystal Harvesting - Novice Lyres At this rate we'll have to solve a puzzle a day! Petition to have an automatic field buff that increases puzzle odds? :D |

Horsedancer1Last Edited January 15th at 3:05 PM YES! I have a pet that increases puzzle drops, and a rune, but it actually seemed to get slower. And I went on that additional passage quest and then none of the items from the Halflight Haven drop. Phooey!

Russel DentonLast Edited January 15th at 1:27 PM better yet, for the oars, crystal harvesting and lyres( have not had that one yet), have them show up after you have completed a puzzle or show in the puzzle and pop up when its complete

Flybaby@canasting
Store Tier 2 Requires Mirdain's level 1 shop upgrade which requires you to do quests as you progress further in the game. |

Nimblecraft@Horsedancer1 - Yeah, that area should have counted!
My current setup is double mana odds, odds to win less gold, and -nothing odds. You will actually whack up puzzle pieces faster that way. But once those super expensive runes expire, I'm back to whacking 50 puzzle pieces/day unless I spend extra energy. And until I build up enough resources for runes again. lol That's why a little +puzzle odds boost would be nice for players who are still building their ideal rune/pet/mount combo. @Russel - That could work too! This way the quest items will be there and you don't have to go to the next depth. I say that because the field has glitched on me without spawning reward paths so I was stuck and could not complete my quests. Nick had to reset for me. |

Horsedancer1Or you could add a bonus to upgrade finding puzzle pieces in the VIP section. Thanks Nimblecraft, I do have odds to win puzzle pieces 55.25 and odds to win Mana 61.5, Nothing wins changed to mana is only +14, Quest items 35. Usually these numbers work pretty well but I will try upping Mana again.

jpl77Horsedancer... Not the correct thread for this discussion but since you brought it up, I'll echo what Nimblecraft is telling you. I don't want to spam this thread on a different subject, but I will make my point.
When you change out your pet, mount, runes and trinkets (either just 1 of these, or all of them) it will have a vastly different affect on your game play. Simply swapping a stat buff from one to the other won't make puzzle pieces appear to drop quicker. Honestly, the only true way to get 'things' faster is to build an infinite mana profile. Which is centred around minus gold odds. If you get that to or near -100% you'll see a hugely different drop rate in every other whackable item that spawns from bushes. the next priority in the build would be for 2x or double mana wins. next, it's getting your nothings to -100%. after those, you can kinda fill in your stats with your style of game play and priorities for whacking. 1. -gold (runes of charity) 2. +2x mana (pet and/or mount) 3. -nothings (best choice is runes of the void) 4. personal choice (recommend +mana until build is strong enough to supplement out for puzzle pcs or quest items as needed when needed) for 1 and 3, get them as close to -100% as possible. for 2 it's easier to get a perfect pet (level 40) at 2x mana. Building a perfect mount to level 40 only 2x mana takes a lot of time and resources. All in all, getting puzzle pieces faster is all about whacking as much as possible, you'll find for "time" or "speed" wise you'll get more puzzle pcs faster if you just build a profile that can just whack more. At the end of the day, play your game your way the way you enjoy it. |

NimblecraftThank you Nick! Appreciate it!
@jpl77 Thank you for the detailed explanation! It's true, once you have the resources to generate infinite mana, you can basically whack bushes forever, and you'll find yourself wanting more time than energy. lol But of course, like you said, it's up to you to play how you like. :) The BW2 wiki has been a fantastic resource as well for rune crafting combos (Thank you for your contributions there too!). I'm all for a sticky thread offering pointers on how to play with max efficiency for players looking to progress faster. |

ZingmanNick for the love of all things good, please consider allowing Primmatic daily quests to be completed in the "Specular Corridor", I'm beginning to hate it every time I get sent there, cause then I have to make a choice between doing that, or doing daily quests, and that should NEVER be a choice (and it isn't really, I just accept that the dailies might not get complete on the day(s) I'm in the corridor)

jpl77Zingman, good idea. I agree, having these quest items drop in the Tunnels, Corridor or even the Flungeon/Flux is a great idea.

ZingmanI could live without the Prismatic quests working in the Flungeon, but it's upwards of 1250 Mirians to get everything (and thus get the hub to 100%), so every day spent in Specular Corridor advancing the main story of the quest hub not earning Mirians is a little frustrating.
