DestKittehLike what Carlene said... Usually when you have to "rescue" someone from a puzzle in a new zone, it's the first puzzle off the rank. It was rather confusing to unlock it in the second puzzle.

Carolyn SchwartzI'm with Carlene. I've got 13 grimoires and have otherwise finished the Dusty Woods. Can I find grimoires in the bonus area? (I haven't yet but I haven't found any today after spending over 1500 points.)

RaymondBonus secret areas are essentially not part of the area that they occur in, that's why you can't see the other parts of that area when you click on the map while in the secret area.
So secret areas do not provide any CI's or quest items for essentially somewhere else. After I completed all the CI's and puzzle pieces for the Dusky Woods I only had to whack in completed squares for half a day to finish the grimoire. Back in the old days, when you hold your mouse over the name of the area you are in on the bottom right, it would tell you all the ci's and quests and puzzles that you have there and what you have yet to complete there in addition to your percentage completion. Such a thing never would show when you held your mouse over the name of the secret area. But sadly the developers decided to remove that very useful information. So short answer, whack your energy in your completed areas to actually complete that area, because the grimoire is what gives you the key to get out of the Dusky Woods and into the next area. |

Ingrid MunnThe Dusky Wood puzzle pieces at 100%, quests done too 100% as well, Grimoires all found, but still have one CI left to get. I suppose that I keep whacking until it (eventually) shows up?

Ben StrijkerWhy do you need to know what you can find in the map?
Does that increase the possibility that it will come faster? Does that give your brain the knowledge what to look for? Or are you just that impatience and want to ruin the suprise of what items you can get? I like the new layout of not knowing what I can find in a map.(Not that I ever made use of it) I need them anyway to continu so why know what you are going to get. |

tabzillaIt's my understanding that the CIs in an area can show up in any field in an area, so you'll just have to keep whacking until it appears. The location of the secret path depends on which area you're talking about... but the wiki has updated information on the secret bonus areas in the Haunted Forest here: http://bushwhacker2.wikia.com/wiki/Secret_Bonus_Areas (you will have to scroll most of the way down the page)

Jennifer ChangThere's another thread about being stuck in the Haunted Forest. In it, the devs confirmed today that the customization item drop rate was adjusted based upon the feedback they received. (Thanks, Devs!) I finally made my way out of it tonight.

Jean DavisI completed the first area after the burning village and it opened a path to the tree. So I clicked on it and got 'Quest Item - Resilient Wax". Is this something I will be needing in the future, and do I keep going back to that same tree for it?

Jo HelmersIt's part of the quest. You need to collect the resilient sap, the hardened wax, the clammy tar and the murky water.
I think you are talking about the hardened wax though. |
