I have a list of 15 so far, that I have walked through and found on my own.... I'll go back and whack later...not including the two givens... so I only need to find three more, and my eyes are flipping out.

BTW, not all areas are going to show up as sparkles hovering above a post bordering the area. There are areas where an item within the area will do this-mostly in the Desert.

If anyone wants that list, just let me know and I'll post what I have so far.

I'm not sure about 'subtle' but NOTHING shows on my computer screen. Maybe too subtle for some older monitors?

First of all, I want to give a big thanks to everyone that contributed to the list of locations. Without it, I would not have been able to do this quest. The biggest problem I have [playing on a laptop], is that if I don't have my screen adjusted just the right way, I can't see the glow thing at all ... it simply disappears. I have to tilt my screen every which way to be able to see it, just to be sure I'm in the right field. I am also doing the quest in the exact order of the list and crossing off the locations as I do them, because the glow things disappear afterwards, and it would be near impossible to go back later to check on locations I may have missed. I got an "internal error" in one location, and had to reboot. The glow thing had disappeared, so now I don't know if I got the lockbox or not. All I can do is wait until the end of the quest, and go back to it if I have one missing. I have to agree with some of the other posts, that this quest would be so much more enjoyable if there were clues to follow [similar to the treasure hunts on AI]. This quest is a big thumbs down for me.
P.S. Be sure to play in full screen mode, as sometimes the little glow thing can be hidden behind the quest or energy bars

If you open your inventory and look under "Key Items" all the boxes you have are listed there.

I found 10 on my own with the wispy bluish thing on the post. I missed the physical hint from "Molten Core" so I was stuck for those other ones. Here's a list of all 20! http://imgur.com/QOrXqbY And you can find a list of the ones you already got in your inventory - key items.

Thanks for a new challenge, though for me, this is a bit too much of a challenge. Loved Paul's listing of definition. I did not see any glow in either of the two fields given as clues. I was hoping after finding the first two boxes, there would be more clues given as to where to search. I'd enjoy a challenge somewhere between 'search for a nearly invisible clue in every field' and 'come find the box locations here in the forums'! LOL! Thanks to all who are listing them! :-D

"Whine whine whine"?
Even it's a devious, devil-like questline - only 2 ways could be taken. Either I try it myself and whack and whack and whack even if I don't know I whack correctly - or I check the Forum, see the link and whack in every location given.
It's not a really fun thing to do either way.

You just need to have some clues, any clues, so that the ones that want to do the actual questline on their own know where to go. I really like riddles ans quests, but I need to have at least one clue. And some "shiny stuff" which was not even displayed in my game is not a clue...

will side with you on one thing...some of the sparkles were extremely hard to see...ran around in one field 4 times before I actually spotted it..lol

only way for me is to see where people have posted that they are, near impossible for me to see. I think clues would have been a much better way to do this. We don't all have great eyes.

I agree - this is too hard. I play with old eyes on a laptop. I don't mind riddles/hints for solving things, but this is too much. To get through it, I am going to have to resort to the lists others have put together. Is there any way to add hints?

A thought: Could the wiki be updated with hints on some of the locations?

For now, I guess I am going to have to go with the maps others have posted.... Not as much fun, but doable.

I've found 4 boxes, but can't see the "sparkles" in several fields and only found it in one field (Mountain Peak) by the pink after-image -- the sparlke itself was barely darker than the background.
This is NOT a fair quest as too much depends on the quality of your monitor and your eyes!

Played this game for a long time, and have to say this is the first thing that has really not worked for me, and obviously others. Why not each time you collect one it gives a clue to the next location? If it weren't for the people posting the places i wouldn't be doing this one. Dev's sorry you dropped the ball on this one.
