Luckily it coincided with a lot of my friend visits and some left over energy packets that I had last night and was too tired to use!! I have finished 3 of the quests so far! Across the Narrow sea, pinecones and moss--now out of energy until tomorrow!!

As for the woman outside the field, she is intended to be available as soon as you get to her, but she may still be involved in a puzzle reveal due to a glitch. edit: It looks like she just has some old/out of date chat attached to her in some situations.
