I had to do it 5 times before I beat him.

I have the same issue, can't beat Gord. And because of this, I can't get any further in the game. I've tried like 10x, but he always wins. Need help ASAP.

As soon as the countdown dissappear's run to the middle of the arena, And look for any bushes with a value of 6, And click on it. While you running to bush, Look for any spell's that appear, Give spell's priority over bushes. You should be able to beat him almost every time :)

Yah, Marc, but then you can't procede on this venture at all. So, Sue, I'm agreeing with you. It's time to bow out of Bushwhacker.

I never did like the arena because winning appears to be entirely based on your computer or worse internet provider's ability in your area. So, I've been avoiding it for almost a year (maybe even more) and now I'm being forced to do it for an adventure. Shame on you bushwhacker. You make it so we can't go ahead no matter what.

I do go for the the balloons, but I can be closer & he still beats me. No, I don't like what you've done.

Ok.. peeps..figured it out.. I finally beat Gord,,, get the first balloon... in the bottom of screen is a black box..click on that box when you get a balloon,, keep whacking bushes. its not speed that does it its those balloons. It takes a couple of times to figure out the balloon and black box thing but after that you can beat him easy.

*breathes easily* Okay. 3rd time playing & I won. Wasn't easy... But I did it. Sandra's advice helped. A lot. I got 47 to Gord's 11.

If you're trying to get Gord for the boat mission, pick the first option, not the one with the gold/yellow exclamatiom mark.
