Lvl 427 "Stash Finder" 172 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 22nd 2016 at 5:20 PM Cyndi Buis Jacobs Has anyone else been experiencing problems moving from place to place or getting areas to load? I'm trying to figure out if it's just my computer. Tried all the tricks like clearing cache, closing browser, restarting the computer, etc. Basically all I can do every day is log in. Any time I try to change areas, it does nothing but hang in limbo. Thanks.
1 Post	Link to post - Posted January 22nd 2016 at 8:58 PM DarkMatters Yes, many people in chat are expressing the same problems you are having. As for myself, more so with getting areas to load. Also an increase of odd game behavior like harvesting crops and plots then disappearing (all is fine with a refresh). For the past couple weeks, white game screen with '!' in the center, black screen, game freezes all frequent in occurrence. If nothing else a nod to the coincidence dieties, there is a point where the game will freeze up at least half a dozen times within a half hour and everytime after refresh there are 6+ new requests. Always. Also, when my computer's audio is in use by multiple applications, especially both input and output, there is always and increase in frequency of the problems mentioned. If anyone can suggest changes to browser (IE 11) or Windows settings based on that, would appreciate the advice. Lastly, I have with BW2 on Kong experienced these issues before but they have been rare and focused to one problem when occuring. Never had the different problems happening together nor occurring with such frequency. It has been like this since I downloaded and installed the last Adobe/flash player update.
Lvl 440 "Other Peoples Problem Solver!" 5565 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 22nd 2016 at 10:09 PM Raymond some of what you describe is your computer or browser or network or flash. there was a general lag the other day. but just a few days ago, with current version of flash I did the Hermits weedwhacker quest in the flux by teleporting to the flux, quick whacking twice and then manually whacking one bush, teleporting to the evergreen forest and manually whacking one bush then whacking the weed, then repeat again, 20 times total (40 teleports minimum). And in all that I also turned in cloud or commons repeatable or event quests as they became done. And I did not get any lag, or black or white screens or even have to reload one time. but I have 16 gigs ram on this computer.
336 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 23rd 2016 at 1:02 AM Jo Helmers yes i have had this happen last couple of days, the character just seems to go off on his own no matter where i try to get it to go, i refresh and it seems to solve it. no other problem than that though. I only use Chrome for games. IE hasn't seen the light of day on my laptops in years.

I thought my character was the only one who seemed to have a mind of its own.It's been happening for a couple weeks now so instead of getting frustrated I just let it sit,play a game of Spider Solitaire, and when I'm finished it seems to have straightened out and I can gain control once more. Ghosts in the machine, LoL. :)

Sorry to hear. I play On Bigfish and I wonder how many servers the game uses, but I know some games use a number of servers and will take you to the one closest and least busy. The problem is there are not dedicated servers and like this game can have times when they are busy as heck. Being I have been having trouble with lagging and freezing since the roll out of Idols, and I am on the same computer, recently cleaned and constantly cache cleared, I put my money on overloaded servers. The times we freeze might have to do with the intermittent "battles" that are waged, with a lot of NPCs. I am sure that is taxing on the server. My latest freezes have not been the normal "busy" freeze, as the puzzle I was working on actually shifted from the middle to the top left top of the screen and then froze the game. I also am getting white screened a lot. A sign that things are bad is, on AI I see players that are in the mountains. I know this because when I was in the mountains, I saw players from AI, and the players I see now on AI are able to walk through the water fall. its a glitch that is triggered by ... something ... and has been going on for awhile now, on and off. So much so that players are totally nonchalant when I asked about it, as though it is normal. I hope your problems get resolved Cyndi, so that you can play! Edited to add: It seems that the problems compound. I met a friend on AI today, who had to reboot twice as she was invisible other than a square pixel. When I went back to fish, her character was there, ghosting. (I know she wasn't simply AFK as it showed 0 players on that Isle) Also, when I went to get my crop the last 2 times, I had one plot that could not be plowed or planted until I rebooted. Weird stuff... (But then again at least i can PLAY! Sorry again Cyndi!)

Was working earlier, but now can't get back in to the game. Wireless connection to internet, but everything else in FB works fine. One attempt gave me the error: Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'ip-10-150-12-9.ec2.internal' (111) in /home/bushwhacker2/public_html/classes/Database.php on line 37 Error connecting: Others just sit and time out either with that message or with a white screen. Sad.

Last night the play screen went black. Nothing. Nada. The lag has been awful and not just on Amicus. Also as I finished up a puzzle last night, the lag was so bad that when I clicked on the left of the puzzle, it completed with BBs!! Being the auto complete is at the bottom, that means the graphics were showing up before the underlying code to pay. (But even still, that should not have been a misclick, given the position I clicked on.
273 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 31st 2016 at 12:33 PM TsukasaWM I think there's a major memory leak in here somewhere. After playing for awhile the game gets extremely laggy to the point of almost looking like it froze. However, as soon as I refresh the page the lag goes away completely.
Lvl 440 "Other Peoples Problem Solver!" 5565 Posts	Link to post - Posted January 31st 2016 at 1:09 PM Raymond it's flash. and the current only way to fix it is a reload as you say. but open task manager first and go to the performance graph first and watch why a reload works (also look at the amount of memory used by the flash process unless you are using chrome)

I think that Facebook is updating their software (they have multiple servers as well, and update one at a time) because some groups suddenly wouldn't let people post pics & links for a few hours. I checked my computer & connection. It is Flash that's the problem, but it's a new one. I hate Flash so much. I'd never have to deal with it if I didn't love BW2 so much, it's the last browser game I play now that Crusaders is on Steam. Are other people still having problems? I've reloaded about three times now. Maybe I'll just not play today. But since there's an event going on, I'll probably just sit here & keep refreshing, lol.
