Ok so we now can have our own golf course now, but I have noticed a few people are still have some problems with the whole designing the course or playing the course so here is a few ideas I came up that may solve it.

- we seem to be limited to what decorations we can put on our golf course, i think other players including my self wish this would change , to allow us to use all the decorations we have gathered through the game, and also allow our pets on the course too .
- the circle thing which allows us to putt the ball moves too fast, so I recommend they let us manually choose the direction we want to ( its impossible to putt a straight line with the current state of play )
- have a PGA type event on BW2 , seeing now we can golf

Hi Russel,

If you know the names of the pieces you want to use to decorate your golf course, that would be helpful. We know players want more.

We're not letting players put a bed or couch on their mini golf course.

A list of sensible outdoor type items is appreciated.

Wheres your sense of humour and adventure lol

Ok in all seriousness hers a list of appropriate items which should be allowed on the golf course

• Gnomes
• All the ranch items in the shop except for bedding and cupboards
• All of the tile/carpet types
• Some pets ( maybe the smaller ones eg- cats, rodents and small animals
• All types of plants
• All of the miscellanous stuff like statues and fences

I know some of the decorations are found in certain zones but just make them available to players who already got them, hope this list is more too your liking Erika

the golf course is not a nearly infinite back yard.
please do not allow anything at all except golf pieces, or only new things that everyone from newish to long time players can have access to.

Raymond, you have the choice of making your course austere and empty, but the people I know who golf and use other players courses are having a hoot seeing the "theme park" areas people have made. Have you been to hoochmooses or Rumbitothecore? They are on the top rated list and are AWESOME!! Some of the newish players have made courses that are pretty and stylish and crazy good in spite of not having the BB or $$ to do so. Having more items to choose from will make them feel good too! One player made a heart out of the flamingoes! The talent I see is truly spectacular. That UNIQUEness is what sets the courses apart. Otherwise, why not just do justin's over and over and over, hmmm?

Speaking of spectacular talent, the may flower garden was a showcase of player talent! Flybaby suggested flowers on another thread and I can't revive it, but I will ask again for more flowers to decorate the ranches and now the golf courses. There are a lot of females who play and some of us have long winters. It has been proven that looking at flowers helps with depression. You could be uplifting your players all winter long Justin, so please, think about it! Flowering bushes too, while we are putting bugs in the developers ears? (old expression ... not literally)

I do agree the choices should be limited somewhat, but having different coloured tiles to make unique mosaic paths (gold for those who are billionaires heheh) would be cool. (I loved using the tiles we have on my ranch to compensate for less $$$ so I am biased there)

More golf course ideas:

1)A this is a separate area, have a space above stars that says the characters name who owns it and how many holes. (when we play randomly it is a shame not to know whose course you are on)

2)Under that same area, how about a feedback line so we can add feedback... even if it was boxes that could be checked or choices from a drop down menu.

EG: Course is empty/incomplete please close to public

Hole number (drop down to choose hole number) is not working

Course was (drop down choices EG: fun, too hard, well laid out, great decor)

3) I find that 9/10 of the random courses, or courses I click on from AI, are either empty or incomplete and unplayable. (Player Rumbittothecore says its because people like seeing a green check mark when its open, and although it made me laugh, she may well be correct!)

That is simply not fair for those who would like to have us come try their course, as they are unlikely to be on the short top rated list ever. I have the time and patience to do it (200+ courses in the last 2 weeks) only because I am making a forum post on golf to help others see what course to go play or not, and hints for playing

... but gee.... it would be nice if the developers figured out something so other players can enjoy it rather than be eternally frustrated! (Some courses are frustrating enough. One would make NATE very proud as there are MANY dynamites back to back in ahhhh!)

isn't the name of the owner of the golf course for random displayed exactly the same as the course for anyone else? right where the name of a zone you are in is displayed, lower right.

Ah, I guess because of the different screens (skins?) on different platforms, we also have different things displayed on it, sigh. On bigfish, only the star rating and build is on the screen, no matter whose course you choose... random, top rated or from AI. Wonder why you have it but we do not. (Can't wrap my head around it)

I am wondering why the windmill does not have an actual hole. When it is sideways, it seems to work as the ball slips easily by but when the holes are facing you , they are blocked.

It would be appreciated if the holes worked to let a ball through, or at least worked as the castle drawbridge does now.

What is wrong with a couch or other furniture on the golf course?! Any of those pieces could be used to make a theme for a hole or the course.

I am having a hoot with the mini golf... so thanks to the developers for the game within a game. I also love that you can now use the gnomes. (see some the top-rated courses for a treat on how they were used)

I saw that this year's statue of liberty could be used to enhance the flag obstacle holes, but was rather surprised to see that the maple flower patch could not! That would be a great addition so please, please think about that one? (I made the American hole twice as hard in protest!)

Any flowers, bushes, trees, decoration should be in the store or transferable if we have it in inventory, pretty please.

(and I am beginning to think the developers are really Americans, hiding out and posing as Canadians, given the goofy Canadian fare, versus the classy, classic and good looking American fare!! EEEK!)

I have made a forum post on Bigfish and on Wiki as well to help players. Anyone wishing to peek at it, it is located here:

I agree that being able to leave feedback on someone's course would be nice.

I also don't understand why the ban on certain items like beds and couches. If someone wants to use them, what is so wrong with that? Allowing us access to everything just allows more possible expression of creativity. Isn't that a good thing? Why censor choices when allowing everything would be inconsequential.

I don't know Charisma, but seeing that a lot of players have the courses open, when they are empty (why would they click to open an empty course) and many literally dump their golf pieces there will nilly and open the course (and I mean dump as I have gone back and still nothing done with them, just strewn about) so can you imagine the garbage can mess some would make if allowed to dump everything available? (sadly I can, as I have seen so many used as dumping grounds)

Hoochmoose, Flybaby,Thaliamine, Rumbittothecore and Erika have course that will make your eyes pop... being they are themed with the items that you can use to thus far express yourself. I am not sure what a bed would express on a golf course ... (but given what I have seen people do in other games, not sure I would like to find out)

I'm hoping that pets won't be allowed on the courses, except for maybe the butterfly, dragonfly, or frog. Those are tiny, and don't seem to use too much memory. But, I've visited some players ranches that seem to have all of their pets running around, and it makes the game run painfully slow.
Kitty is right about flowers. They would do so much to enhance the beauty of the course, as well as our ranches. I'd also like to see more holiday and seasonal items (to go along with the holiday themed golf pieces). Lamp posts, and the lava rock floor would also be nice.
P.S. Thanks for your gracious compliment, Kittypurrrs. And I agree that it would be nice to see the name of the player whose course I'm visiting.

PS: THIS YEAR is the 50th anniversary of the CANADIAN flag. You missed an opportunity to make us delighted and honour your heritage with ... a free flag gift from the developers... like the one on a flag pole, in the commons for Patriotic event. *cough* It could be the beginning of future additions like flags for any country people could buy and fly on their ranches and golf courses. (being flags already exist, no artistic pain to make and could be sold in the main area of the town hall from a drop down menu...)

Flags are a great idea! I do like the ones in the event area. I almost forgot ... Toadstool and mushroom ring would also be a great addition.

I 100% agree that we should be able to use everything in the inventory (except wall hanging items) in the golf course. As a long term player, I have years of event items, seasonal items, several items that work as a set. I was hoping to make "themed" holes. Currently Lava item theme works well, but several themed holes aren't working out because of the limited inventory.
