Beth, i don't know if this helps now because we are several days in now and you could be in a different place than i think... but here is how i thought it out.

it was possible to get to 1000. (I'm not sure if it still is). to do it you need all of the scene elements at least once.
30 elements x 10 cheer a piece. 300 cheer and the dedicated ribbon. 3000 holiday tokens or gifts from buddies. whichever. i did a little of each... some spending and some gifts from buddies.

fine! done! 700 cheer to go.

next i believe we started out with 4 stockings. that means you are getting 20 cheer a day if you collect 120 holiday tokens. that by itself wont work since it'll take about 35 days to get everything so you have to pump what you have into additional stockings while remembering to send what you have.

so first day looked like this.
send 4 socks. need 120 holiday tokens plus 100 for next sock. 220 tokens for the first day.680 cheer to left to get.

if all went well. day two was 5 socks. 150 holiday tokens plus 300 for next stocking. 450 tokens overall. yikes. getting a little rough but still doable.
655 cheer left to get.

if you get some lucky breaks this goes a lot faster. you can bank a couple of stocking on the same day or so. whatever it takes... you HAVE to get to 8 stockings.

i figure I've gone through 3000 stars from the start of the even up until now plus my daily hammers also about 3000 or so.

today is Sunday (its 5:26am where i am sitting) and there are 15 days to go. at 40 cheer a day from sent stockings you are going to make it if some of your buddies occasionally send you stockings worth 2 cheer each.

i currently have 627 cheer having thought about it this way. I'm pretty sure I'll be done 10 days from now.


all that being said. i don't know if doubling up on the scene elements gets you more cheer. i haven't had spare tokens to try it out. if they do.... fine 10,000 holiday tokens and you're out ... easy-peasy.

Ok, I have been using multipliers on bronze eggs and getting x-mas a few times. I am lucky if I get 300 tokens any given day. I don't have any friends playing so I don't have anyone to send stockings to and I am not getting any, besides the ones from the Devs. Please note that I will not accept FB friend requests from EB players, if I don't know you outside EB (this is due to privacy). I have had to buy all of my scene elements and have acquired almost 550 cheer. Am I able to finish this event with a trophy, or is it hopeless?

Thanks Amy, guess I will just keep on buying those scene elements then as I only have almost 600 cheers :-)

@Colleen - Any suggestions what do we do with all the extra tokens? I have over 1200 tokens & my stockings only take 240 to send. Wish we could buy hammers, stars & multis with them.

As of Tuesday, I will get the trophy., and have all the elements.

Same with me, 3 more stockings to send, I've maxed out the about and size and I still have close to 1600 and I bought most of the scene because I usually get tiny and med stockings. There is about 10 or 11 days left I think, maybe if we ask nice the devs will add the option of buying hammers, stars and multipliers??? Now when I use a multiplier and it comes up with the holiday tokens, I just groan, lol.

Susan, no you can't buy hammers with the spare tokens.

@Amy - Thanx for the tip, but when I posted that I had already completed my scene. Right now I have 1450 cheer, and about 1600 tokens. Don't think my tree can handle too much more 'stuff', although I did get a second tree...lol
