Missy LenoirI would like to see a free restart option for those who did fail. I was so concerned my computer would crash during it, or power out or what have you.

Arraial80I can´t do it either. Slow computer, slow internet connection, laggy flashplayer, I don´t know. It really is a bummer that we can´t get the jeweled event chest from the Milk & Cookie Run. Will take another year before we get another shot at obtaining Santa´s and Frosty´s gear.

DoomMantia@Missy Lenoir You don't have to worry about that. The timer stays where you left it. When you open the game again you can resume.

ZiPSStill haven't gotten it. Not gonna try anymore. I play this specifically because I can let it run in the background while I do other things and not worry that I may miss something. I feel like timed objectives actively pulling my attention from other things defeats the purpose of this game.

Eike Bunn des PräsidentI think I can understand Mekkalyn very well.
While having to babysit an idle game for 60 minutes is already not that delightful, failing on this objective after an hour of concentration, and losing 1300 candy canes at the same time, makes you feel really bad. Being able to retry it without repaying the candy canes would be a huge improvement already. Furthermore, you have to know that "secret" trick of toggling to low quality mode in the settings, which lets you pick up quest loot without a delay. I failed on this objective on my first try with ~10 seconds over time. After that, I enabled low quality mode, and tried again. I did everything! exactly similiar to my first try, and succeeded with 13:30 minutes remaining. I swear, I did everything similiar. One-shot all creeps without even seeing health bars the whole time. Hovered over quest loot to gather it quickly. Clicked on the next level on the mini-map to be faster than the arrow-method. And nonetheless, an overall difference of 13:40 minutes. This is so huge. Too huge for an option that most people don't even know. Some people have turned it on without knowing it, and some have it turned off without knowledge. It could explain these differences in the player feedback on this matter. Why isn't this auto-on, or at least stated in the description of timed objectives? Of course, other things could have influenced my results as well. I just can't imagine any :D (feel free to point out some) I hope, this criticism is taken constructively :) I guess, the low quality mode issue is easy to change, so please do that! Best regards! |
