I agree, please can someone explain how on the morning of day 1 some players have already broken over 8,000 eggs?

I think this game is a joke. I agree with Les and Gordon. I started at the same time as soon as the game came out and there are players that already have over 1000 eggs broken. Bullshit. Plus Egg Breakers 2 was more exciting. This is just BLAH!

I can think of 2 ways. 1) They spend real $ or 2) They're very lucky: When hitting a silver egg with a big multiplier they are getting tokens/stars/hammers which in turn can become even more hammers.

[My luck is so bad that when I hit a silver egg with a large multiplier I have a 75-80% chance of getting a nothing, 15-20% chance of gold and only 5% chance of something helpful (or so it seems).]

Brett, your "Get a Life" comment is so unnecessary. You have no idea what type of life those people have. I did the Beta testing and really enjoyed the game, so when it came out yesterday, I spent some money on for Monkey Bucks to buy extra hammers. I also used my multiplier strategically and increased my score and my stars. Some people spend their money on movies, some in bars and other like to play games.

Don't think I will continue with the game! Egg breaker 1 and 2 were good and completed both, the Devs would have done better by putting in new levels instead of taking it back to this basic rubbish!

I couldn't agree with you less Gordon. In Egg Breaker Adventures we have combined the best features of EB1 and EB2 to make a game that we feel combines the fun elements of both. It is also specifically setup to overcome the crazy balance issues we ran into at the end of EB1 (trillions of score, million times multipliers etc.) as well as let us extend and add new content that ALL players will be able to enjoy in the form of adding new monkeys (which are self contained worlds). It also leaves us open to make the individual monkeys work in different ways... It is really a win win win situation. I am definitely happy with and proud of the work we have done on this EB Game.

Can't wait to see what all the devs have come up with; I didn't even realize this was out; just happened upon it. Now I just have to be patient and wait until I have more hammers to go break somemore eggs. Thanks Devs for all the hard work.

@David, maybe you will get it good, but you will probably get fed up with it in a year and stop developing it like you did with EB1 & 2. Why haven't you put a new level on EB2 and please answer the original post as to how after one day some people had broken over 8,500 eggs?

Hi Gordon,

Fed up? that isn't even slightly true. The big problem we ran into with both prior egg breakers is we kept building up and up and up and eventually only the most dedicated players get the latest content. When only a small handful of players can access the new content we can't create that content and actually pay the people who make the art and write the code... So we can't very well add a new world to EB2 when only 200 people will play it!

As for how players broke that many eggs, is it really not obvious what the possibilities are?

Option 1 they got lucky and won hammers or stars, it is definitely possible one of the core features we brought in from EB1 was the big wins, even on hammers and stars... rare yes, possible you bet!

Option 2, they supported the game and bought some hammers with Monkey Bucks! Players who do so support the game, support you playing for free and everyone else. They make the game possible, Kudos to them :)

The EB games are the only ones I play. I have had to wean myself off EB1 because I was spending far too much time playing. I will also wean myself off EB2 because I will be playing this one now :) If I had the time I'd keep playing all 3. EB has always had the support of the Devs and despite being busy with many projects they have responded to questions/issues by consulting or resolving depending on the questions. I think we are very lucky that they communicate at all let alone on demand!It doesn't cost us anything and it doesn't cost anything to show a bit of appreciation, we aren't forced to play!

From a players point of view, I spent a lot of money with you on EB1 & 2, then when it just comes to an end it is VERY frustrating and you think that it has been a waste of time and cash!
Your games have not been the only ones where I have spent money to then feel let down, at least you have the decency to reply to our queries!
Unfortunately, I have made the mental decisions not to pay for games anymore, I know this doesn't help you guys.

That's a fair point Gordon and I understand what you say about spending money, I've spent a quite a lot myself on EB1 and EB2 and like to progress in the rankings being rather competitive!I'm not doing too well in this game lol! However I think that is not the Devs fault as they had to redesign Eggbreaker games because Facebook introduced rules to prevent continuous play as was the case in EB1, I'm guessing this was due to financial issues. I may be wrong but I thought paying for tokens etc to play games benefited Facebook not the programmers. I know there must be some sort of payment/reward to those involved in producing the games but they are restricted in what they can do by the rules of Facebook. I agree that it would be great if a game could continually be added too instead of new games being created and yes, it is frustrating when it just ends. I'm sure Facebook would receive more financial benefit but I'm sure there must be a reason why this is not the case as far as the Devs are concerned. If this is not so I'm sure someone will put me right :)

I just addressed a similar comment on another thread. I do understand how without thinking about it its easy to react to a new game with the thought "I paid for this, and now its gone" but you need to think about it for the fun and entertainment you got out of it.

What you are paying for is the entertainment and enjoyment you get while playing. If I put a dollar into an arcade machine I get 2 minutes of entertainment, if I pay $15 to go see a movie, I get 90 minutes of entertainment (if I am lucky), if you pay $5 for Monkey Bucks you get 500 more hammers to play in EBA... its something you do in other places without thinking twice.

As long as you enjoyed yourself playing then it wasn't a waste of time!

I so agree with you David. As a student looking to go into this field the idea that you guys would do this for us for nothing is rediculous. Do you all have any idea the amount of work that goes into even one level of these games. I mean really. I made one small tile game myself and between the art and the code it took bout 200 hours of work just to get it working and it may take me another 200 hours to add all the bells and whistles these guys have, and thats just level one.

I'm still feeling out the new game, not sure I can see any major differences between it eb1 and eb2 quite yet. But I am totally loving the fairy tale theme of the first monkey, so I'll keep playing for a while.

Also, kudos David for handling all criticism and whining with professionalism. I will continue to play DJ arts games because the devs are good people, make games with fun theming, GREAT holiday events and they maintain an approachable and supportive community.

Yes, kudos to David! I don't spend much money now on virtual games, but I did on EB1. I see it as entertainment value, exactly like going to a movie, or purchasing a console game. Do you know how much money I spent on my first Nintendo??!! And now it's nearly worthless. When I go the a casino I plan on spending a set amount of money for it's entertainment value. It is obviously worth it to some people to spend money on virtual games. I say let them support their favorite game developers (aka DJArts) however they want! I'm just too, let's say frugal... frugal is a good word.

I've only been on for 7 days with over 8K eggs broken and 5M score. I admit it ... I buy Monkey Bucks. For me the game is relaxing. I don't do it for ranking, other than improving my personal score. I'm thrilled with a "big" win and try different ways of playing to increase my wins. I budget a small amount of money to my entertainment.

As for getting a life ... I have one - a good job, family, and friends, and lots of non computer events to attend almost weekly. I also have insomnia so I break eggs. The game puts no demands on me and is relaxing.
Even though I've completed EB1, I still log in to send hammers to my friends that haven't finished yet.

To the developers ... Thanks! Love the games.
