55 Posts	Link to post - Posted July 30th 2012 at 11:59 PM Hege Haraldsen I have spent over 1000 hammers and only got 12 tokens, this doesn't feel quite right.. Is anybody else having a similar experience or is it just me being really unlucky?

6 Posts	Link to post - Posted July 31st 2012 at 7:24 AM Christelle Abreu I hope its a problem cause it says the buffers increase the tokens and after 3000 hammers and 200 starts with 75 egg buffer im at 42 if its not an error then it will take more then 15 days for the ones who don't want to buy more hammers with real money.

Can't see me bothering with trying to finish this event unless this is changing soon....
70 Posts	Link to post - Posted August 1st 2012 at 1:29 AM mythago I noticed something interesting comparing my wife's token wins to my own from yesterday. My wife, who is a casual player that only plays during the events, won ~100 tokens using the ~2300 hammers she has for being on Dinoland yesterday. I on the other hand have won 56 tokens after playing 2710 hammers today. The only major difference? She played WITHOUT the buff yesterday as she had not sent out any requests and appeared to have a higher drop rate than I do with the buff. I wonder if the buff is lowering the rate by approximately 50% instead of increasing it by a similar amount. I was curious and played on my son's account who hardly ever plays and ran a monkey break in the Tropical stage (without any buff active) and he won nearly 25 tokens. I ran a monkey break in the Tropical stage on my account with the buff and did not win a single token! As for the lack of tokens in the multiplier eggs (silver or red), this is actually working as intended. This event does not allow for multiplication of the tokens and they have to be won from non-multiplied eggs. You do win them in amounts based on your level (1 token x number of hammers to break normal egg). I would suggest everyone put in trouble tickets reporting this issue until the issue with the buff is resolved.
70 Posts	Link to post - Posted August 1st 2012 at 1:52 AM Last Edited August 1st 2012 at 1:53 AM mythago Back of the envelope calculations: Won a total of 84 tokens today by winning 12 tokens x 7 (based on playing underwater level) while playing appromixately 3800 hammers (my daily amount was 3760 but I did not check how many I won while playing). This works out to approximately 317 hammers used per token win or a win rate of 1 token of approximately every 45 eggs. To complete the event will require 1,020 tokens. Based on current drop rate, I will theoretically win a total of 1,260 tokens over the event time frame, allowing completion of the event two days prior to event end. The event can be completed but it has one of the lowest drop rate of any event and does not give much of a buffer for people who cannot play a large number of tokens every day. I know I can complete this event, as if nothing else I can dip into my 15K+ star stash to win tokens I need. As there is nothing you can spend tokens on after completing the event objectives I can understand a lower than normal rate but the apparent issue with the buff is frustrating. I suspect my wife is going to be complaining to me later today when she has a lower drop rate than yesterday as she helped give several friends the buff and sent out buff requests herself.

If you use your multipliers to win stars/tokens, and using your token to buy stars, and then using those stars to win more multipliers, then the number of eggs you break using your hammers will be a small fraction of the total number of eggs you break. If you put in a minimal amount of effort (ie, use your hammers, stock pile you stars, and leave), then you can't expect to receive the maximum reward. Had I just used my hammers, I would also have ~50 tokens. I used my stars and multipliers and tokens (as I usually do) and I'm 65% done in two days. It's not broken, the devs aren't jerks, it's just challenging.

I have been playing this game (and EB1) since launch and am quite familiar with how to maximize my winnings. My point was that the buff seems to be hurting your chances instead of helping. I used just playing hammers as a test to compare how well it worked with and without the buff using a similar amount of hammers. Again, a drop rate like this is but a speed bump to an experience player like myself...I am pointing out that something appears to be wrong with the buff itself.

They created an event that most players will be able to complete, some using all the alloted time. Just because an event can't be completed in a day, doesn't make it a bad event. In fact, I prefer an event that can't be completed that quickly.
