Bob ChaseDJArts, why did you insist on being unclear as to the end of the event? There should have been a countdown timer for it, just like for daily and weekly resets, rather than the event will be over in 4 days that was posted Thursday and not updated. I had a decent chance of completing it, but was left with 50+ unopenable Valentines instead.

Susan JacksonDev's, on Sunday 2/20/2012, my opening page says 4 days left on Valentine Event, I checked to remind myself when it was over. But now Event is gone. What's up with that???

Hege HaraldsenI knew the event ended yesterday but why can't I accept all the cards that friends sent me after I had played MY daily game? It's not like that would make the outcome of how many cards I have sent any different (I sent all the required cards)
I have just lost 34 cards and whatever was in them because of this, doesn't seem very fair to me..... We live in different time zones and play at different times of day.... |

Mary Ann LorenzI even got a card from the devs this morning and couldn't even open it - well I opened it and it said it was over - you should at least let us collect the cards - Please? I thought we still had time to collect or I would have yesterday.

Jennifer BeardI agree that it was not super clear. The opening page was a leftover note with the date of the 16th on it. I became suspicious when the deadline of four days out was not changing. I did find a countdown clock to the end of the event but it was on the event page where the valentines were sent from. I have noticed that the notes are left up on the opening page until another note replaces it, making it obsolite very quickly when it has to do with a deadline. At the next event check the date the note was posted and count down from that date. I doubt they will change it as it has been this way since the beginning of egg breaker 1.

Jennifer BeardMaryAnn - I also had a card from the developers at the midnight reset but just a few minutes after it wouldn't let me have it because the event was over. This is one of the things I miss about the first Egg Breaker. They would give you a week to spend the tokens and cash in stuff after the event and collecting tokens in eggs was over.

Lisa EdwardsIf people had maybe paid attention, that note on the opening page was posted last thursday, so that gave us four days notice that the Event was ending yesterday, all I'm saying!!

Lynelle Turley KleinThese devs have placed a countdown clock on every event page for a very long time. All you have to do in any event is go to the event page to see how long we have left.
perhaps they should say something like "four days left - you have until the 20th", or not use a number on a screen that won't change every day. But I never trust those opening screens because I know they type them in and leave them that way for a few weeks. I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad or silly. I'm just sharing information that I hope will help you next event. |

Colleen GillanLast Edited February 21st 2012 at 7:04 AM The fact that the note on the opening page stayed the same for 4 days should have been a big clue. The countdown has been on the event page since the beginning and it is always that way. Also, EB1 only occassionally gave more time collecting or spending. It wasn't a regular thing.

Terry JohnsonI think its wrong that we lose valentines sent to us, there was a countdown timer on the Valentine page though so people should have been aware

Colleen GillanI don't know how so many people want to blame the devs for their own mistakes. When the event ends, you would need to assume that it ends COMPLETELY, unless otherwise stated.

Lynelle Turley KleinHarsh,
I'm sorry that you were saving them up, but now you know for future events. I always assume they won't carry over and use them up. Occasionally the store stays open for a little bit where we can buy things, but not always. Better safe than sorry is my motto. So, I always use up everything I can before it closes. Hope that helps you next time around. |

Kate (aquafishy)I would assume if people were SENDING valentines, as well as receiving them, it would have been obvious how much time was left, it was on the event page from the beginning. If someone was only ACCEPTING valentines I would see how you could miss it. Seriously, this was an awesome event, with lots of extra bonuses - the blip that was causing seriously lag issues was addressed by the devs and fixed, and I don't imagine going in and fixing the coding was something they enjoyed doing. Thanks Devs, I hope you know that people are more likely to complain than commend, but I for one commend you for the event, I enjoyed it a lot.

Mary Ann LorenzI agree it was my fault for not checking more closely but I have a life outside of facebook and don't sit on the sites that long - I tend to skip over those little details, and since it was the first time for this event I missed it - but I just wish they would allow us to collect those we had received or at least give us a day to spend the last of what we had. It would have been nice to know and once I got the trophy I did not check everyday and send out as I probably should have. If they would just at least consider it; it would be a nice jesture since it was listed as still 4 days. Just my 2 cents.

Tamara CoulterI too received valentines after I had gone to bed and I wasn't able to open them. I just prefer to give my energy to positive thoughts. I appreciate all of the wonderful gifts that I received throughout the duration of the event and I choose not to give any thought to what I may have missed or lost. But that's my approach to life in general and I do understand that everyone is different. We all make our own choices.
