From Vincent:
"What would you like to know about?"

Tell me about Pet Releasing
"We can take pets you don't want anymore and release them onto your PAGAS Wildlife Preserve. Before we let them go, we'll extract some of their DNA for you. This DNA serves as the currency for all my other services. The quality of DNA you get is random, but your odds for getting better DNA goes up based on the level and type of bet you're releasing. I'll tell you your odds of getting the various DNA qualities before you release, so don't worry about making a bad choice. Once you've released a pet, there's no going back, so be sure before you do!"

Tell me about Pet Augmentation
"You can spend the DNA you've collected to change the bonus your pet has. There are varying types and levels of bonuses to choose from, assuming you have access to them. The Best ones take high quality DNA to apply. If you have a pet that has a random bonus, you can spend Common DNA to randomly swap to a different one of its random bonuses. You can also pay a DNA to switch a pet you've augmented back to its base bonus, if it's something unique.* When your pet switches bonuses, it keeps its level and xp, so your bonuses starts out already powered up! All in all, Pet Augmentation helps you put the bonus you want on the pet you like! It's great!"

Tell me about the Pets and Eggs you sell
I can sell you all the pet eggs you can find in the wild or in Quester's Satchels, as well as many of the premium pets that have, until now, only been available in package deals or during sales. I even have some pet breeds you may have never seen before. They're expensive, though. The best pets cost Unique DNA, which is extremely rare!"

Tell me about the Pet Progress List
"I keep track of all the pets you have in a hand list. You can browse through the pets you don't have and see what you'd like to nab once you've collected enough Unique DNA. I also have some cool bonus prizes for you to claim when you have collected a certain number of unique pets."
How do I get more DNA?
"The main way to get DNA is by releasing pets you've hatched or purchased. The higher the pet's level, the more likely it is that it will give you a higher quality DNA. Oh, premium pets almost always give Unique DNA.** I can also sell you DNA for Bush Bucks and I'll trade you lesser quality DNA for higher quality DNA if you'd like as well. I think you may sometimes find DNA in Quester's Satchels too, but I imagine it's quite rare."

* If your pet is a type which has a random chance to have one of several bonuses when it is hatched (ie, the Black Cat), you cannot automatically switch back to the original bonus, because it was originally randomly assigned, and for various reasons, not tracked.

** Pet types and their DNA chances:
"Basic Pets": Have a chance for all DNA types. (EG: Black Cat)
"Event Pets:" Will always give at least an Uncommon DNA (EG: Spring Chicken)
"Misc Pets:" Will always give at least a Rare DNA (EG: Poot)
"Premium Pets": Will only give Unique DNA. (EG: Fefe from Valentine 2014)

How does the Pet Progress Tracker work?
The progress tracker provides a ton of information about your pets.

- Bonus Bar: As you gain additional unique pets, your bar automatically advances towards the next reward. There are special rewards at every 10th increment (10, 20, 30…etc). Once your reward is available, you can click the square beside the bar to collect the reward. Have several rewards available at once? Not a problem, you'll claim them in order that you unlocked them! The progress bar will automatically advance towards the next bonus once you claim available ones.

- Filter: allows you to choose which classification of pet type to view

- Pet information: All pets appear either appear with a grey background (for those not yet found/hatched/purchased) or will list the following:
○ Name of Pet breed (eg: Black Cat, Ghostly Horse…)
â—‹ Highest current level of pet breed raised
â—‹ Current number of pet breed owned

- Hovering over each pet will list several pieces of information:

In the top section:
○ Name of the Pet breed (eg: Black Cat, Ghostly Horse…)
â—‹ Pet Type (Basic, Event, Misc, Premium)
○ Pet Origination (eg: Hank the Farmhand, Amicus Island, Patriot Event…)
â—‹ Total number of pet breed the player has owned overall (Player owned two kangaroo mice, released one, so the player has had 2 of the pet)
â—‹ All potential Max Bonuses a pet breed can have

In the second section, stats about all your pets of that breed will be listed, with the highest level listed first:
â—‹ Name of the Pet (if a custom one has been assigned)
â—‹ Pet Level
â—‹ Pet Bonus

How does DNA trading work?
DNA trading functions similarly to Gem Trading.

You can only trade your DNA up:
- Four Common DNA make one Uncommon DNA.
- Four Uncommon DNA make one Rare DNA.
- Four Rare DNA make one Epic DNA.

There are also some options provided to trade up a bunch of DNA at once (for example 16 Common DNA for one Rare DNA).
You cannot trade down (for example you can't split your Rare DNA into Uncommon DNAs).

2 questions:

1- In the pet progress bar it says i have 31/10 Pets, well i don't have the Weiner Dog since i returned it when the Event closed, so it keep it in the list even if we don't have them?

2- in the pet agument (agument?) menu, the major X bonus says we need 30 unique animal to unlock, if my progress bar say i have 31, the 'Major' options are still locked.

You must have missed this line from Chloe's post:
"Total number of pet breed the player has owned overall (Player owned two kangaroo mice, released one, so the player has had 2 of the pet)"

Since you released the pet (well, was forced to), it still gets lists as having been previously owned by you sometime in your BW2 lifetime.

when/if ne reduces the number of certain generation 1 pets below 2 possessed, will it then be possible to actually get them in quest satchels?

Why you cannot trade Epic DNA into Unique DNA?? You should made that available.... Because it's hard to get there, only few will use that technique but it should be available!!

Joe, keep clicking the collect button... that means that you have 31 pets, but were only required to collect 10 to achieve that particular type of DNA. Keep going until you cannot click it any more. The more pets that you have the more times you can turn in progress.

says the following right in the first paragraph of the progress description above " Once your reward is available, you can click the square beside the bar to collect the reward. Have several rewards available at once? Not a problem, you'll claim them in order that you unlocked them! The progress bar will automatically advance towards the next bonus once you claim available ones.

I am totally colorblind and can't identify any of the DNA's, so please have a mouseover identification everywhere that they are shown, or have completely different shapes for all, i.e. 1.5 twists, 2 twists, one side broken in a spot...

Thanks Marci, that was too simple, should have tried sooner, you must trade 3 times to unlock tier 2 updgrade. At first i was thinking that upgrades were automatically given just by having pet in inventory.

Why can't I upgrade Poot? Will there be another Poot or a pet like it, and will they stack?

Maybe ya'll can exclude the pets I own from the list of pets to buy. That would be really helpful with purchases.

there may be a reason someone would want to buy a pet they already have, but perhaps not poot, maybe the ghost.

but poot, and the ghost and others are not even buyable in the list of 50 pets I see in the eggs/pets for sale listing.

if you equip poot then you can augment it with things that its possible to augment it with, and perhaps you don't have the DNA for some of that, or are not at the high enough tier or other prerequisites.

oh, yes, other pets that I have bought. it might be nice to 'identify' that you already possess it in the sale list, but not remove it altogether cause you might want another, especially if it comes in different varieties.

I used some DNA on other pets because I didn't think I could use it on Poot....dumb ides...lol

I keep raising pets, trying to get 50, but I guess I have to buy another different one...*sigh*

You can buy the ghost right now, unless it's changed over for the day.

the 'different' pets so far are:
10 from gen 1
10 from gen 2
poot from amicus
ghost from amicus
a robot and jelly from misty's buddy but for bb's
6 different event pets so far
the rhino
the turtle
the temporary or permanent weiner dog

all others must be bought during events as parts of packages, or from a amicus wandering merchant, or now from pagas.

total number seems to be about less then 100

Hey Devs, can we have a pagas type thing to get rid of hundreds of useless trinkets, and hundreds of useless hats and capes and glasses and gloves and swords...
And while you're at it how about letting us sell off that one type of bookcase that's exactly like that other kind of bookcase but for some reason its not sellable? This has been asked for many times by many for at least 660 days.

Poot and the Ghost are both available for sale on Amicus Island for Island Tokens. They cost 100 tokens each.

Raymond, I'd encourage you to refer to the "Pet Progress" (first option under Vincent's dialogues) - you'll note many pets you've missed.

We are considering options for trinkets, etc. No decisions at this time.
We do not have any plans to make trades up to Unique DNA. You can (very rarely) find it in a Quester Satchel.

no no. I got it.
I was referring to Jeans mention of Poot and of not wanting to be able to buy a pet you already have, thinking both were in the same reference.
1. You can't buy poot again in the pegas store, unless the pagas store changes day to day.
2. You can, and might want to buy other pets that you already have in the pagas store if you want to. Like, perhaps some day I might get a second rocket rabbit so I can have a USA and a USSR rocket...
3. my number of less then 100 came directly from the pet progress in opagas.

Request the following:

1. Misc and Event pets considered at premium. As a matter of fact they are more rare than the premium pets as you can only get these once and if you missed your chance they never come up again for purchase with BB. Eg of why they should be Premium: If you get lucky enough to get 50 casino tokens to buy a Casino pet, then you release it, you can never go back and buy another one from the casino. Eg 2. Robot pet can only be won by paying BB to play the BB slots.

2. Less pop-ups in PAGAS. It takes sooooo many clicks to release the hundred pets in my inventory. Please reduce the pop-ups or at least cut some stages, the very least don't auto close out Vincent's chat bubble. Leave it at his basic list, or the previous sub menu if you hit cancel.

3. Ability to downgrade DNA, much like Gem trader. I had no idea that Epic DNA was essentially useless to me as I don't have 70 pets. But I must have 70 pets to use epic dna, however I traded all my lower class DNA for the Epic and now I'm stuck with useless DNA until I double the amount of unique pets I have (unless I wait for another 2 years when Gen 3 and 4 eggs are released).

4. Reduce the price of the DNA for purchase with BB. Why would you pay 270 BB for 1 Unique DNA when an entire pet package (pet, rune, BB and maybe gold and gems costs 200 Facebook credits) the same or less?

Id like to second Jason's request for fewer pop-ups in PAGAS. I am a big fan of disenchanting runes because its so easy (drag in 4.. click once... repeat). Perhaps Pagas could be similar? (Though You'd probably want to keep the "Are you sure?" popup)
